Arshad Warsi opened up recently about the social media outrage that followed when he made a comment about Prabhas after watching him in Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad had referred to him in an earlier interview and said that ‘he was like a joker in it’.

In an interaction with India Today, Arshad spoke about the backlash and said, “Everyone has their point of view. Also, it's a democratic country, and everyone is allowed to speak in it. If you are a positive person, anything negative does bother you. However, we have been at a place where stones are thrown, so it doesn't bother me anymore."

When asked if the incident has made him cautious of saying things in public, he responded, “I have decided that I will love every film that I watch. I will love every actor for the rest of my life (laughs).”

In a chat with Samdish Bhatia for his YouTube channel, Arshad had expressed his disappointment after he watched Kalki 2898 AD and said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of him? Why do they do such things, I never understand).”

His comment caused a stir in the industry, with many Telugu film celebrities saying that he should have chosen his words better. Director of Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin took to X to write, “Arshad saab (sir) should have chosen his words better, but it's okay. Sending Buji toys for his kids. I will work hard so tweets that Prabhas was the best ever in K2."

Arshad will be seen next in Bandaa Singh Chaudhary, which is set to be released in theatres on October 25.
