Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma will be seen together in Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma’s new film Vanvaas, the release date of which was announced on Monday. The film will hit theatres on December 20.
Vanvaas is touted as a modern take on the mythological epic of Ramayana. As per a press release shared by the makers, the film is “an intriguing story that explores a timeless theme, echoing an ancient tale where duty, honor, and the consequences of one’s actions shape the course of lives.”
The film’s production house Zee Studios took to social media to announce the release date of the film. In a poster, Nana and Utkarsh can be seen enjoying a light moment. “Iss Christmas, apno ko pehchaniye (This Christmas, know your loved ones). Anil Sharma, brings to you his next emotional rollercoaster ride! #Vanvaas releasing 20th December, in cinemas near you,” reads the caption.
Anil is known for making films like Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), Apne (2007), Veer (2010) and Singh Saab the Great (2013) among others.
Vanvaas marks Anil’s other collaboration with Zee Studios after the success of Gadar 2, which released last year.
