Alia Bhatt’s Jigra earns Rs 17.16 crore at the box-office in four days

Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles

Alia Bhatt’s Jigra has managed to earn Rs 17.16 crore at the box-office in four days since its release, according to Sacnilk. Directed by Vasan Bala, who has co-written it with Debashish Irengbam, the film also stars Vedang Raina, Manoj Pahwa, Vivek Gomber, Aditya Nanda, Rahul Ravindran and Akansha Ranjan in pivotal roles.

The film opened on Day 1 at Rs 4.55 crore and saw a sharp rise on Saturday, earning Rs 6.55 crore. However, it had a surprising fall on Sunday, as it earned Rs 5.5 crore. On Monday, the film made Rs 0.56 crore making its total collection Rs 17.16 crore in four days since its release on October 11. It had an occupancy of 8.57 percent on Monday.

The film marked Alia’s lowest box-office opening in the past 10 years. Before this, it was only Imtiaz Ali’s Highway (2014), starring Alia, which had earned Rs 3.48 crore on its opening day. Earlier, Alia’s solo releases as the female lead, Raazi (2019) and Gangubai Kathiyawadi (2022), had both earned Rs 7.53 crore and Rs 10.50 crore respectively on Day 1.

Jigra clashed at the box-office with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which has managed to earn Rs 19.8 crore in four days.

Jigra is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.
