Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has managed to earn Rs 5.2 crore at the box office on Day 1, according to Sacnilk.com. The comedy-drama film is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and also stars Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Rakesh Bedi and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles.

The film has made a worldwide collection of Rs 7.70 crore. On Friday, it had an overall Hindi occupancy of 17.18 percent. It clashed at the box-office with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and has managed to do comparatively well on the first day.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Raaj Shaandilyaa and Vimal Lahoti. 

CE’s review of the film read, “The film loses its track right through the opening 30 minutes when the jokes don’t land and the narrative beats don’t surprise much. It’s as if all the major plot points are already established in the trailer and there is hardly anything that you already don’t know. Even the inclusion of Vicky’s sister Chanda, played by Mallika Sherawat, and her developing affair with the frail police officer played by Vijay Raaz, is all noise and no play.”
