Divya Khossla took to Instagram stories on Saturday to take a sharp dig at Alia Bhatt for her latest release Jigra, saying that the makers showed fake collections for the film. Divya went to see the film and shared a photo of the empty theatre while making serious accusations.

In her Instagram story, Divya shared the photograph and wrote, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty, all theatres going empty everywhere. Alia Bhatt me sach mein Bahut Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye (Alia Bhatt really has a lot of ‘Jigra’ as she bought the tickets herself and declared fake collections) Wonder why paid media is silent.”

Jigra clashed at the box office with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which is produced by Divya’s husband, Bhushan Kumar. Further, there has been an ongoing discussion within the industry where people close to Divya are calling Alia’s film a copy of Divya’s Savi, which released earlier this year and was also a prison-break thriller. Jigra features Alia’s character fighting against odds to rescue her brother, played by Vedang Raina, from jail.

Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and released in theatres on October 11. According to Sacnilk.com, the film minted Rs 4.55 crore at the box-office on Day 1.
