The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri on Thursday announced the release date of his next film The Delhi Files- The Bengal Chapter. Vivek shared a poster of the film which shows a silhouette of a child reaching out for the three-lion national emblem of India. The poster bears the release date: August 15, 2025. Vivek also informed that the film, which was earlier conceptualized in one part, will now be released in two parts.
“Mark your calendar: August 15, 2025. After years of research, the story of The Delhi Files is too powerful for one part. We’re excited to bring you The Bengal Chapter – the first of two parts, unveiling a significant chapter in our history. Right To Life,” he captioned the post.
Previously, Vivek had said that The Delhi Files would be part of a trilogy, including The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022).
Announcing the film, the director had tweeted: “Few years back, I started telling untold stories of independent India.1. The Tashkent Files - Right To Truth. 2. The Kashmir Files - Right To Justice (releasing soon) Happy to announce the last & the boldest of the trilogy: 3. The Delhi Files - Right To Life. Pls bless us.”
Delhi Files will be produced under the banner of Abhishek Agarwal Arts and Pallavi Joshi. The film will be presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal and I Am Buddha productions.
