Actor Triptii Dimri has come under the line of fire after she allegedly didn’t attend an event in Jaipur on Monday evening. The FICCI Flo event was hosted by Women Entrepreneurs, who are now calling for a boycott of her and her upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.

According to reports, Triptii was expected to participate in the event focusing on Nari Shakti at a hotel on JLN Marg. Organizers claimed that they received a call from her team indicating she would arrive shortly, but she ultimately did not show up.

One of the female entrepreneurs involved in the event revealed that the agreement for Triptii’s appearance was valued at Rs 5.5 lakh.

In videos that are making the rounds online, angry women can be seen defacing Triptii’s poster and calling out to boycott her upcoming film. In one of the videos, a woman said, “Koi iske movies nahi dekhenge. Commitment karke yeh log aate nahi hai, time management karna aana chaiye. Konsi badi celebrity bani hai? Koi janta bhi nahi hai iska naam. Hum toh aaye the dekhne ki kon hai yeh. Abhi tak koi janta nahi hai and this is her life. She is not at all worth calling a celebrity. (“No one will watch her movies. They make commitments but don’t show up; they need to learn time management. What big celebrity is she? No one even knows her name. We came to see who she is. Until now, nobody knows her, and this is her life. She is not at all worth being called a celebrity).”

One of the women, who appeared to be a part of the organising committee said, “Jaipur should boycott Triptii Dimri. Hum usspe case karenge. I had transferred half the money and was about to transfer the other half, but I stopped because they were telling me to wait for 5 minutes. I don’t know why, but I gave them half and they still have the other half. The total deal was Rs 5.5 lakh. Jaipur should boycott her movies because they have insulted us today. After taking money, changing times. She is running away and she disrespected us, so lets run away from her movies.”

Triptii was in Jaipur to promote her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which also stars Rajkummar Rao. As per an ANI report, on Monday she was seen walking the ramp in Manish Malhotra’s show at an event ‘Namo Bharat: Walk for Courage, Walk for Service, and Walk for Heritage’. Her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Kartik Aaryan also attended the event with her.
