The teaser of Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani’s debut film Azaad was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The period-drama, directed by Rock On!! (2008) and Kedarnath (2018) director Abhishek Kapoor, also stars Ajay and Diana Penty.

The teaser opens in an arid landscape as a sea of horse-riding rebels clash against British soldiers. A voiceover tells the story of the Battle of Haldighati and how Maharana Pratap fought against the Mughals with the aide of his loyal, towering horse Chetak. The film seems to be set in the pre-Independence time. Ajay seems to be playing the role of a rebel who has a beautiful, black horse. When one day the animal goes missing, Aaman’s character is tasked with finding it.

Azaad is slated to release in January next year. Ajay was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe extravaganza Singham Again.
