Karan Johar announced his next directorial project on his birthday on Saturday. He posted a photo on Instagram along with the untitled narration draft of the script for the film. The director celebrates his birthday today as he turns 52.

In the photo, he poses along with the draft of the script as he wears a white shirt. In the caption, he wrote, “Get. Set. Go!”.

His last film as a director was the Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani which released last year and received critical acclaim for the subversion of some themes explored in Karan’s earlier films.

As a producer, his last release was the Sara Ali Khan starrer, Ae Watan Mere Watan, which was a historical drama film directed by Kannan Iyer. His next as a producer is Mr. and Mrs. Mahi which is scheduled to release on May 31. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead.
