Director Nitesh Tiwari on his writing process: I write something that is relatable and inspiring

Director Nitesh Tiwari opened up recently on his writing process and said that he writes films that are relatable and inspiring. He is known for making feel-good and thought-provoking films like Chillar Party (2010), Dangal (2016) and Chhichhore (2019).

He spoke recently on making youth-centric films and his writing process. He said, "I write something that is relatable, something which is inspiring and something that haste-khelte aap koi badi baat keh jaaye (says something profound in a light-hearted manner)."

In 2014, he directed the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhoothnath Returns which tackled the issue of importance of voting with a quirky narrative.  

His last directorial venture was the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal that came out last year. He is currently making Ramayana which reportedly stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Indira Krishnan as Kausalya. However, no details have been made official by the makers yet.
