Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar, who was recently seen alongside Sonali Bendre and Jaideep Ahlawat, in the second season of the ZEE5 series The Broken News, said that the series has made people distinguish between two sides of journalism and have made them ask questions on its authenticity and ethics.

"People are now having conversations about the two sides of journalism," she said. The actor also spoke about the menace of fake news. "It is crucial in today's era that people discuss and address those who spread fake news and lies," she said.

In the second season, Shreya reprises the role of straight-arrow journalist Radha Bhargava as she seeks revenge against sensationalist anchor Dipankar Sanyal (Jaideep Ahlawat), her rival from a competition news channel.
