Coming down heavily on the recently released Choli Ke Peeche remix from Crew, singer Ila Arun, who had originally sung in Khal Nayak (1993), said she was shaken up by its remix in the latest Hindi film Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.

Expressing her shock over the popular music label 'Tips', Ila said she has a good relationship with the company but it did not hold a proper communication before remixing this popular dance number. "They called me five minutes before the launch of the song and asked my blessing. What else I could do, except give them my blessings?"

She added, "I was dumbfounded but couldn't ask them why have you done this? So my reaction to the song is exactly what Alka Yagnik's reaction is. I feel Choli Ke Peeche is such an iconic song."

Ila Arun further said that while everyone is saying that she rocked she responded that she is shaken. She averred that when a song has to be recreated, the original artists should be kept on loop and a part of the profit made by the remix should be given to them as a compensation.

Choli Ke Peeche is an iconic number composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, sung by Ila Arun, lyrics penned by Anand Bakshi and performed by Madhuri Dixit and Neena Gupta in Khal Nayak. The film directed by Subhash Ghai had Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles.
