Actor Vikram TDR is set to make his debut in Bollywood with the historical drama Bengal 1947. Directed by Akashaditya Lama, the film also stars Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sohaila Kapur, Onkar Das Manikpuri, Aditya Lakhiya, Anil Rastogi, Pramod Pawar, Surabhi Srivastava, Falaq Rahi, and Atul Gangwar.

Speaking about his role in the film, Vikram said in a press release, “The character I play in the film is named Khagen Mandal. He's concerned about his own people on the eve of partition. When director Akashaditya Lama narrated the story and the influences on this character, I was impressed as I have seen people like Khagen Mandal around me. The film is also shot in a unique style, unlike typical Bollywood or action Telugu films."

He added, “Despite being new, my theatre background helped me integrate seamlessly into the set. The crew affectionately called me Khagen Mandal throughout the shoot. I even forgot my real name for a while. Working with such a talented team was an absolute joy. This film is more than a project; it's an emotion."

Bengal 1947 is produced by Satish Pande, Akashaditya Lama, and Rishabh Pande. It will be released in theatres on March 29.
