The release date and the first poster of Manoj Bajpayee's upcoming film Bhaiyya Ji were unveiled by the makers on Thursday. The film will see Bajpayee reunite with his Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai (2023) director Apoorv Singh Karki. This will also be the actor’s 100th film.

The poster shows Bajapyee in a dhoti, sitting on the dusty ground with a cigarette between his lips. His character seems tired and worn out.

Sharing the poster, Karki, the film’s director wrote, “100th FILM of DESI SUPERSTAR!!!! आ गये है वो!  (He has arrived).”

Earlier, talking about the film, Bajapayee had said, "I am thrilled to step into the world of Bhaiyya Ji. It will be a raw and intense character that I am excited to bring to life. A thorough mainstream entertainer that it is, it made me decide to collaborate with Apoorv Singh Karki, who directed Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and become the producer for this one along with the lovely team.”

Bhaiyya Ji is written by Deepak Kingrani, who also wrote Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. The teaser will be out at 2.42 pm on March 20, while the film is slated to release on May 24.
