The trailer of the multi-starrer whodunit Murder Mubarak was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The Netflix film has an ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Tisca Chopra and Sanjay Kapoor, among others. It is directed by Homi Adajania and is based on the book Club You To Death by Anuja Chauhan.

The trailer takes us into the world of Delhi elites, who are all members of the Royal Delhi Club. Pankaj Tripathi’s voiceover informs that this club was “made by the British, for the British”. He describes the characters as more “British” (read elitist) than our erstwhile rulers. A murder occurs at the premises and ACP Bhavani Singh (Tripathi) is tasked with solving the case. Everybody is a suspect, from the free-spirited character played by Sara Ali Khan, the loudmouthed Dimple Kapadia, the shady Vijay Varma, the over-confident Sanjay Kapoor, the sheepish Tisca Chopra and the assured Karisma Kapoor.

The Netflix film also stars Aashim Gulati, Deven Bhojani and Suhail Nayyar. Murder Mubarak has been written by Gazal Dhaliwal and Suprotim Sengupta and is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The film will premiere on Netflix on March 15.
