Actor Adah Sharma, who will be essaying the role of IPS officer Neerja Madhavan in the upcoming political action-thriller Bastar: The Naxal Story, wanted to learn the basics of jungle warfare to prepare for her role in the film.

Talking about it, director Sudipto Sen said, "Adah wanted to learn the nuances of jungle warfare and arms handling and also wanted to meet women in the CRPF and Chhattisgarh police who are actually fighting battles on the ground."

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Sunshine Pictures and co-produced by Aashin A. Shah, Bastar: The Naxal Story is directed by Sudipto Sen, who made headlines with his last The Kerala Story. The film will be released on March 15, 2024, in cinemas worldwide.
