Actor Mrunal Thakur is seen in a cameo in the sci-fi actioner Kalki 2898 AD. The film boasts a cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Depika Padukone, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan, among others. Apart from Mrunal, there are also special appearances in the film by other celebrities, including Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli, Disha Patani and Ram Gopal Varma.

Talking about how she got to be a part of the film, Mrunal shared, "When I was approached for Kalki, I didn’t even take a minute to say yes. I have immense faith in producers Aswani Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka. Our successful collaboration in Sita Ramam (2022) made this an easy decision. And being part of this mammoth of a project and this absolute visionary filmmaking was something I knew I had to be part of.”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is produced by Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies.
