Sonakshi Sinha is set to marry Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, according to their wedding invitation that got leaked online on Thursday. Her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha expressed his love for her and called her the apple of his eye. The two will have an intimate wedding followed by a celebration in Bastian Mumbai.

Speaking about it, Shatrughan said, "She will always have my blessings. Sonakshi is the apple of my eye. She is my only daughter and very close to me. I am a proud father because, over the years, she has also grown as an actor. From Lootera (2013) to Dahaad (2023) to now Heeramandi, she has proved to be a fantastic actor."

He added, "If my daughter is getting married, I will support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I will be the happiest father on her wedding day. I will always wish her the best. Ek hi toh beti hai meri (I only have one daughter)."

Sonakshi and Zaheer, who have been dating for a while, co-starred in the 2022 comedy drama Double XL.

The two are yet to publicly confirm their relationship, but their Instagram feed is filled with photos of each other. They are often spotted attending events and social gatherings together.
