Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy Stree 2 gets a release date

The film is a sequel to Stree which released in 2018

Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy Stree 2 will release on Independence Day, the makers announced on Friday. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurrana in the lead. The film is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree. Its teaser can be seen exclusively in theatres with Munjya, which is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe.

The makers unveiled a short video to make a announcement. In the caption, they wrote, “Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai Stree fir se!(This independence day, Stree is coming once again) Stree 2 in cinemas this Independence Day, 15th August 2024. Catch the Stree 2 Teaser exclusively in cinemas with Munjya from today.”

Stree told the story of town Chanderi, where people live in the fear of the spirit of a woman who attacks men at night.

Stree 2 is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films.
