John Abraham and Sharvari’s actioner Vedaa has a new release date. The Nikkhil Advani directorial was earlier scheduled to release on July 12, but now it will hit the theatres on August 15.

John made the announcement on his Instagram page with the caption, “This Independence Day, woh aa rahe hain… Insaaf ki jung ladne! #Vedaa releasing in cinemas on 15th August.”

Earlier, a teaser of the film was shared by the makers. In it, we see Sharvari as Vedaa, a fierce girl who is training to become a boxer. Parallelly, there is John Abraham’s character, who seems like an ex-Army man out to take revenge. By the looks of it, the film seems to be set in Kashmir. Although the film’s plot isn’t clear, in various intercut sequences, we see Abraham showcasing his action chops. Sharvari is also seen breaking some bones.

Sharvari was recently seen in Munjya. Vedaa will be John’s first release after Pathaan last year where he essayed a negative character.
