The Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given ‘U/A’ certificate to Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri’s Bad Newz while suggesting some changes in the intimate scenes. The film is directed by Anand Tiwari and also stars Ammy Virk in a pivotal role.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the board has asked for some modifications in three intimate scenes without having to cut them completely. It has asked to change the 'visual of lip-lock', in scenes of varying durations of 10 seconds, 8 seconds and 9 seconds, according to the report. Along with that, some general changes have been issued to have the font size of the alcohol disclaimer increased and another warning added at the start of the film.

The film’s duration is mentioned as 2 hours, 22 minutes.

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, Bad Newz is the spiritual successor to the Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Good Newwz (2019). It is set to be released in theatres on July 19.
