Junaid Khan recently called his father Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao, ‘the best actor in family’ and said that she played the role of his mother in the auditions of Laal Singh Chadhha (2022). He recently made his Hindi film debut with the Netflix film, Maharaj.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on YouTube, Junaid shared that he has auditioned for more than 7-8 films till date. He also said Kiran liked his film and reflected on why he feels she is a better actor than Aamir. He said, “Kiran is also probably the best actor in the family. I had actually worked with her on the test for Laal Singh Chadha. She was playing my mother. I had done a scene with her so I can tell you that she is by far the best actor in the family.”

He added that he hasn’t discussed the same with Aamir yet. “I am sure he knows. Whether he is going to admit to himself is not something I have discussed with him but she is definitely the best actor in the family,” the actor said, smiling.

Junaid is the son of Aamir and his first wife, Reena Dutta. The two got separated in 2002 and Aamir went on to marry Kiran in 2005.
