Seems like Sonakshi Sinha, who got married recently to longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal and moved in with him, is missing her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. The actor took to Instagram on Sunday to post some unseen pictures of them form the wedding and also penned an emotional note, expressing how much she misses home.
“At the wedding Maa started crying when it hit her i would be moving out of the house,” she wrote, along with black and white photos of her hugging her parents during the vidai. “I told her “Maa, dont worry… juhu to bandra only 25 mins” Missing them a lil extra today, so I’m telling myself the exact same thing Hope theres Sunday sindhi curry made at home…See you soon… zoom zoom zoom.”
Earlier, there were rumours going around that the Sinha family is apparently miffed with Sonakshi’s decision to marry Zaheer and won’t be part of the ceremony. Shatrughan and Poonam attended the wedding however her older brother Luv Sinha did not and implied in a tweet that he did not approve of their union. He later deleted the tweet and said, “Matters are resolved.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer did a civil marriage at the former’s Bandra home on June 23. They then organised a reception for Bollywood’s who’s who at the luxury restaurant Bastian. It was attended by Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rekha and Huma Qureshi among others.
Sonakshi and Zaheer had been dating for about seven years. They also starred together in the film Double XL (2022).
