Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Yash Raj Spy Universe film now has a title. Alia took to Instagram on Friday to share a title announcement video. The film is called Alpha and will be directed by Shiv Rawail, who previously helmed the Netflix series The Railway Men. The video also revealed that the spy film has begun shoot.
The video opens with the famous logo reveal of Yash Raj Films. Alia Bhatt’s voiceover ensues in Hindi, “The first letter of the Greek alphabet and the motto of our programme. To be the first, to be the fastest, to be the bravest. If you look closely, every city has a jungle and it will always be ruled by Alpha.” The title of the film then appears on the screen.
The YRF Spy universe started back in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023) and Tiger 3 (2023).
The spy-universe’s upcoming offerings are War 2 with Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr. and Kiara Advani. The epic face-off between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Tiger vs Pathaan is also ready to go on floors next year.
Alia Bhatt was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). She has Vasan Bala’s Jigra in the pipeline. Sharvari was last seen in the horror-comedy Munjya. Her upcoming films include the actioner Vedaa with John Abraham.
