Randeep Hooda’s Swatantrya Veer Savarkar gets release date

The film marks the actor’s directorial debut

On Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary on Tuesday, the makers of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar announced the release date of the film. The film has been directed by Randeep Hooda who also plays a titular role.

Randeep, along with film’s production house Zee Studios, took to social media to share a video which opens with a sketch of what seems like Gandhi, which soon becomes Savarkar’s picture. Traitor? Terrorist? Hero? Flash on the screen.

“Two heroes of Indian Independence Struggle; One celebrated and One removed from History
On #MartyrsDay 2024 - HISTORY WILL BE REWRITTEN,” the post was captioned.

The film is slated to release on March 22. Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has been co-written by Randeep along with Utkarsh Naithani.
