The trailer of Kiran Rao's directorial Laapataa Ladies is set to release on January 24. It is a comedy-drama film produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande and presented by Jio Studios. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles.

The film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023 where it received a standing ovation.

Earlier, the teaser of the film was released which gave a glimpse into its usual world about two young brides who get accidentally swapped on a train. The film is set in the year 2001 and its screenplay & dialogues are written by Sneha Desai, along with additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma. It is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswamy.

Laapataa Ladies is set to release in theatres on March 1.
