Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that she gave birth to a baby boy, Akaay on February 15. Anushka and Virat got married in 2017 and welcomed their baby girl Vamika in 2021.

In the Instagram post, Anushka and Virat wrote in a joint statement, “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world.”

Earlier, Virat Kohli had withdrawn from the ongoing Test series between India and England, citing personal reasons. After that, ex-cricketer AB de Villiers had announced on YouTube that Virat and Anushka are expecting a second child. However, later, he retracted his statement.

Anushka Sharma was last seen in Zero (2018) alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Ever since then, she has only been producing films, with her last production venture being the film Bulbbul (2020) and the web-series Paatal Lok (2020).
