Hrithik Roshan is set to begin the shoot of War 2 from next week, according to sources. War 2 is the next instalment in the YRF Spy Franchise and is helmed by director Ayan Mukerji. The film also stars Jr NTR in a negative role. Hrithik Roshan plays the role of agent Kabir in the film and the post-credits scene in last year’s Tiger 3 gave a glimpse into his return in War 2.
According to a source close to the development, “Hrithik Roshan is all set to start shooting for War 2 by February 23. He kicks off the journey on War 2 with an action-packed introductory sequence, designed by Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Chopra, and the entire action team of the film. Hrithik will be shooting for his introductory action sequence for two weeks.”
Earlier, Hrithik had shared some details about War 2 in an interview. The actor had said, "Kabir has definitely left a mark. And getting into Kabir's boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light. A different aspect of him which is going to be interesting".
War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release on August 14, 2025.
