Mithun Chakraborty hospitalised after chest pain

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was hospitalised on Saturday morning after he complained of chest pain. He is currently admitted in a hospital in Kolkata. According to a report, he was feeling uneasy after which he was rushed to the hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. The actor is 73 years old.

His son, Mimoh Chakraborty informed a news portal that Mithun is doing 100 per cent fine and it was just a routine checkup.

Earlier, Mithun was honoured with the Padma Bhushan Award in January 2024. After receiving the honour, the actor shared a video message where he said, “After a lot of struggle and hard work, I have finally received this honour. It is a feeling that I can't express. I am dedicating this to all my fans in India and abroad, who have given me unconditional love.”

Mithun Chakraborty made his debut in Hindi films with the Mrinal Sen film Mrigaya in 1976. Since then, he has worked in many films over the years in a career spanning several decades. His last Hindi film was The Kashmir Files (2023).
