Actor-turned politician Kangana Ranaut said recently that hard-working women in Himachal Pradesh are better looking than some Bollywood actresses who come from the region, including herself, Yami Gautam, Preity Zinta and Pratibha Ranta. The actor posted photos of the actresses on her Instagram stories to make the comparison.

The actor said, “When I go to Himachal and see our women equally or better looking than us work tirelessly in the fields no Insta no reels raising cattle and making the ends meet. I feel they can definitely do with some hype.”

Kangana is the MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi region.

On the work front, she will be seen next in Emergency, a political-drama, where she plays the role of Indira Gandhi. She has also directed the film. It was earlier set to be released in theatres on September 5, but it got delayed owing to protests from Sikh community across the country. It will now be released in theatres on January 17.
