Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par postponed to next year, confirms the actor

The film was earlier set to be released in December 2024

Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has been postponed and will be releasing in 2025, the actor confirmed in a recent interview. He shared an update on the film and said that it will go into post-production in the coming month. The film was earlier set to be released in December 2024.

Talking to Deadline at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Aamir said, “We are coming to the post production later this month. We would be ready to release the film in the middle of next year.” Talking about the film, he added, “It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par.”

The actor also spilled beans on some of his other projects. He is producing Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947, which is being helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Along with that, he is also backing a film which stars his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi and is titled Ek Din. He will be acting in another of his production but he refused to share more details. Further, he is producing a film which is written and directed by stand-up comedian, Vir Das. Vir will also be starring in it.

Aamir is currently in the US to promote Laapataa Ladies for the Oscar campaign. The film was earlier selected to be India’s official entry to the Academy Awards.
