The trailer of Nana Patekar’s Vanvaas was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Helmed by Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma, who has co-written it with Sunil Sirvaiya and Amjad Ali, the film also stars Kushboo Sundar, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.

The trailer begins with some visuals where a young Nana is seen along with his family, in what seems to be a flashback sequence. Moving ahead in time, Nana’s character finds himself lost in Varanasi, left by his children. He meets the character of Utkarsh, a local buffoon who pledges to help him unite with his family. The trailer features some dramatic moments where Nana is seen performing in emotionally charged scenes. Ending with a line sung by Sonu Nigam, as Nana says a dialogue about being alone.

The film features music composed by Mithoon (Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain) and lyrics by Sayeed Quadri. It is shot by Kabir Lal and edited by Sanjay Sankla.

The film is produced by Suman Sharma with Kamlesh Kanungo, Gaurav Agrawal, Rohit Choudhary & Jawahar Lal serving as co-producers. It is set to be released in theatres on December 20.
