The first song, ‘Vekh Sohneyaa’ from Ananya Panday’s web-series Call Me Bae was released by the makers recently. It is composed, written, and performed by the musician duo Charan and Bombay the Artist, which also marks their musical debut on OTT.
The music video captures Ananya a.k.a Bae as she steps into her new life in Mumbai. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, Bae learns more about herself through her close-knit friendships and her new beau. The video has a vivid appeal as it shows her going about her life and navigating the complexities of identity and romance. The song has an upbeat feeling and the vocals feel fresh to listen to.
Speaking about the song, Ananya said in a press release, “From the moment I first heard ‘Vekh Sohneyaa,’ I’ve been hooked, it has truly captured my heart and been on repeat in my playlist. Big kudos to the music team for creating such a vibe that’s got everyone, including me, grooving.”

Call Me Bae directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra and features an ensemble cast that also stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in pivotal roles. It is a Dharmatic Entertainment production with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers and will be released on Prime Video on September 6.
