Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has managed to cross Rs 400 crore at the box-office in India, according to Sacnilk.com. Its current collection stands at Rs 403.05 crore after minting over Rs 18.5 crore on its second Monday since release. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee.

It opened at the theatres on August 15, making Rs 51.8 crore on Day 1, becoming the biggest Hindi film opener of 2024, surpassing the collections of Hrithik Roshan's Fighter. In the first week, Stree 2 did a collection of Rs 291.65 crore despite releasing with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa. On its second Friday, the film made Rs 17.5 crore followed by a sharp rise over the weekend, minting Rs 33 crore on Saturday and Rs 42.4 crore on Sunday respectively.

Stree 2 is the latest offering from producer Dinesh Vijan's ambitious horror comedy universe which also includes films such as Bhediya and Munjya.

Our review of the film read, “Stree 2 starts with cautious steps. After a song which retells the events of the first film, we still get gags and jokes which sometimes build upon and other times are callbacks to the original. It’s not that it’s not funny but the laughs soon start feeling borrowed. Niren Bhatt’s screenplay, however, is a fitting add-on that doesn’t meander in overly ambitious and ultimately chaotic spaces. As is the case with every other Hindi-comedy recently, the referential humour is strong with this one.”
