Anurag Kashyap’s cult-classic gangster film series Gangs of Wasseypur is returning to the big screen. Both Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1 and 2 will be shown in theatres from August 30 to September 5.

Making the announcement on his Instagram account, Anurag Kashyap wrote, “In three days the Gang will be back again .. GOW back in cinemas. “

The films will be available in select locations at a ticket price of Rs 149.

Gangs of Wasseypur is one of the most acclaimed films of Anurag’s career. The gangster film series catapulted actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Richa Chadha, and Huma Qureshi into stardom. Part 1 of the film, headlined by Manoj Bajpayee, released on June 22, 2012, followed by the release of Part 2, starring Nawazuddin, on August 8.

The film series tells the story of the underlying power struggles, politics and vengeance between three crime families in Bihar’s Dhanbad.
