Siddhant Chaturvedi’s action-thriller Yudhra will be releasing in theatres on September 20, the makers announced on Monday. Helmed by Mom (2017) director Ravi Udyawar and written by Sridhar Raghavan, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan in her second Hindi film since Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds (2017), along with an ensemble of Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, Raghav Juyal and Shilpa Shukla.
Producer Farhan Akhtar shared new posters from the film featuring Siddhant and Malavika. In the first poster, Siddhant holds a gun in one hand and a lollipop in another and there is blood on his shirt and arms. In the second poster, Siddhant and Malavika are caught in an embrace with some blood on their bodies. In the caption, Farhan wrote, “Anger has a new name. Yudhra coming to screens near you on 20th September.”
Yudhra features music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Prem and Hardeep with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and Raj Ranjodh. It is shot by Jay Pinak Oza (Gully Boy, Toofan).
The film has long been in the making and its first look poster was unveiled in August 2021 which featured Siddhant holding a gun and a lollypop in his hands. It was slated to release in Summer 2022, but got postponed.
It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani with Stuti V Ramachandra and Saurabh Khandelwal serving as executive producers.
