The Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Singh is Kinng completed 16 years since its release on Thursday. The action-comedy was directed by Anees Bazmee and written by the director along with Suresh Nair. The film also featured an ensemble cast of Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia, and Sonu Sood.

The film’s production house Sunshine Pictures, founded by director and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah took to Instagram on Thursday to share a motion poster of the film along with the caption, “Celebrating 16 glorious years of laughter, action, and unforgettable moments! Here's to 'Singh is Kinng,' the film that won hearts and made us believe in the magic of cinema.”

Singh is Kinng released on August 8, 2008, and was one of the year's highest grossing films. The film was also famous for its songs including the title track 'Singh Is Kinng,' 'Jee Karda,' 'Teri Ore,' 'Bhootni Ke,' and 'Bas Ek Kinng,' the music video of which also featured rapper Snoop Dogg.
