Akshay Kumar has made a donation of Rs 1.21 crore at Mumbai’s famous Haji Ali Dargah, as per the Dargah’s official Instagram handle.
Pir Makhdum Saheb Charitable Trust which runs the Dargah took to Instagram on Thursday tos hare a video of Akshay taking part in the rituals and prayers at the Dargah. The post’s caption stated that Akshay, a “true Mumbaikar”, has taken responsibility for a section of the renovation.
“Duas were made for the departed souls of his parents, Late Aruna Bhatia and Late Hari Om Bhatia, The management expressed their deepest gratitude for his generosity,” a part of the caption read.
This is not the first time Akshay has donated towards a religious institution. He had previously also contributed Rs 3 crore for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Khel Khel Mein along with Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk and Aditya Seal, among others. It hasn’t been a good year for Akshay when it comes to the box office. His previous releases Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira turned out to be duds.
