MGM+ channel to be part of Prime Video

Films like The Prodigy, The Silence of the Lambs and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will be streaming on the new channel

On Tuesday, Prime Video launched the channel MGM+ to stream films and shows that are primarily backed by the Hollywood studio MGM. With MGM+, viewers can stream films like Legally Blonde (2001), The Prodigy (2019), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), Robocop (1987) and more, along with shows Stargate SG-1 (1997), Teen Wolf (2011), Get Shorty (2017).

Speaking about it, Vivek Srivastana, who is the Head of Prime Video Channels, said in a press release, “We are thrilled to launch MGM+ as a Channel for our customers in India, offering an extensive library of blockbuster, much-loved, and premium content at a single destination – Prime Video. We are certain that with its vast library of iconic movies and series, MGM+ will entertain and delight Indian customers.”

Michael Katzer, head of MGM+ International, said in the press release, “The streaming service brings a huge range of premium quality, successful movies, much-loved series as well as ageless classics, spanning multiple genres including sci-fi, suspense, action-thriller, romance, and much more. The expansion of MGM+ in India further cements Amazon’s commitment to invest in and grow the MGM+ channel internationally, while enhancing the content offering available to subscribers.”

Subscription to MGM+ can be made through Prime Video Channels.
