‘Papa Kehte Hain’: Second song from Rajkummar Rao's Srikanth out

CE Features

‘Papa Kehte Hain’, the second song from Rajkummar Rao headliner Srikanth, was released by the makers recently. The song is a modern rendition of the original sung by Udit Narayan, featured in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988).

The music video shows Rajkummar in the character of visually-impaired entrepreneur Srikanth Bolla. When he is born, his father prophesies he will become a cricketer. Then we see Srikanth excel at school and college, go to study abroad and ultimately become the founder of Bollant industries. Actors Sharad Kelkar, Alaya F and Jyotika, who are a part of the film, also feature in the song.

The real Srikanth Bolla is an Indian entrepreneur who founded Bollant Industries. He was visually impaired from birth and after returning to India, Srikanth focused on creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and was earlier supposed to release in theatres in September 2023. It will now hit the big screens on May 10, 2024.
