Producer Ektaa Kapoor opened up recently in an interview with Variety on why she feels she will have to go into hiding when Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 releases. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, LSD 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Love Sex Aur Dhokha which released in 2010.

Speaking of her 2023 production venture, Thank You For Coming, which didn’t do well at the box-office, Ektaa said, “It has left a very strange pain in my heart because the way that film was and the kind of reception it got in India, vis-a-vis the reception it got overseas.”

Thank You For Coming starred Bhumi Pednekar and explored female sexuality through a comic lens. It was directed by Karan Boolani. Adding on the hate that the makers got after the film’s release, Ektaa said, “Our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s going to happen when LSD 2 comes. I think I will have to hide again.”

LSD 2 is produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. It is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cult Movies and will be released in theatres on April 19.
