Actors Fardeen Khan and Shekhar Suman’s character posters from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar were released by the makers on Saturday, alongside the first looks for Taha Shah and Adhyayan Suman. The series marks Fardeen's comeback to acting after more than 14 years since his last film Dulha Mil Gaya. It also marks Bhansali’s OTT debut and stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in pivotal roles.

The new posters introduce the male characters in the show. Fardeen plays the role of Wali Mohammed, who is caught in a struggle of love and duty; Shekhar plays Zulfikar, who is close to Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) and has big ambitions; Taha Shah is nawab’s son, Tajdar, who seeks his purpose through liberation; and Adhyayan is a passionate lover, Zoravar.

Earlier, the first look from the series was released. It gave a glimpse into its world which is set in pre-independent India against the backdrop of the freedom movement and hints at an epic saga of love, power, betrayal, struggle and, ultimately, freedom. It will be released on Netflix on May 1.
