Ajay Devgn's Maidaan undergoes zero cuts

Ajay Devgn's upcoming biographical sports drama Maidaan has reportedly been cleared with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

According to reports, the film was received positively by the members of CBFC and was given a U/A certificate.

The board has asked the makers to insert a disclaimer stating, "the film is a work of fiction inspired by true events available in the public domain, views of the legendary football players, and research of writers with fictional elements".

The film runs for three hours one minute and 30 seconds which is 181.30 minutes.

Maidaan chronicles the life of Rahim, who was the Indian Football team coach and led the team to victory at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajrao Rao.

The film is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. AR Rahman has composed music for the film with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

Maidaan will release on April 10 clashing with Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
