On the occasion of Ajay Devgn’s birthday, a final trailer of his upcoming sports-drama film Maidaan was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles.

In the final trailer, we see Ajay as Syed Abdul Rahim, the coach of the Indian Football Team, as he handpicks players for his team. Rahim has to face various challenges, especially from Gajraj’s character, who seems to be part of the bureaucracy. Ajay’s character in the film is based on football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who led the Indian football team to victory at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962.

Maidaan is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta & Akash Chawla. A.R. Rahman has composed the music for the film with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. It is set to clash with Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan at the theatres on Eid in April this year.
