Indian adaptation of Israeli series Fauda, Taanav, to get second season

The Indian adaptation of Israeli action thriller series Fauda, titled Taanav, has been renewed for a second season.

While Fauda focused on the Israeli Defence Forces’ and their operations against the terrorist organisation Hamas, Taanav tells the story of the Indian Army’s many counter terrorist operations in the Kashmir Valley.

The first season of Tanaav concentrated on the efforts pulled by the Indian Army, to carry out operations against the Pakistan Army sponsored by terrorist organisation Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, along with showing the separatist activities in Jammu & Kashmir, flow of weapons and finances to the terror groups from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey. It features Manav Vij, Sumit Kaul, Rajat Kapoor and Shashank Arora and was directed by Sudhir Mishra and Sachin Mamta Krishn.

The details on the second season are yet to be revealed but will continue to explore similar themes, including counter terrorist activities, special operations and on-ground reconnaissance and intelligence gathering from the special forces, to combat the terror groups in Kashmir.
