On Wednesday, Netflix released a promo for its upcoming film Khufiya, helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj. While the teaser for the film was released a year ago, the film is finally gearing up for release on the streaming platform. 

The film stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Ali Fazal among others. The promo shows the three of them pleading with Vishal to reveal something about the film, but it is all kept 'khufiya' (a secret). We then see Vishal getting calls from multiple phones, asking him to reveal more about the film, but the director chooses to remain silent. 

Produced by Vishal Bhardwaj's banner, Khufiya is a story about Krishna Mehra, a RAW operative who is assigned to track down the mole selling India's defence secrets. All along, she grapples with her dual identity as a spy and a lover. The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi in an important role.

Inspired by true events, Khufiya is based on the popular novel, Escape to Nowhere by Amar Bhushan. Netflix is yet to announce the release date of the upcoming spy thriller.
