The trailer of Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming thriller Jaane Jaan was unveiled today. The film marks the OTT debut of Kareena Kapoor Khan. It also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The Netflix film is based on the popular mystery/crime novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Japanese writer Keigo Higashino.

The trailer shows Kareena Kapoor as Maya D’Souza, a single woman who lives with her daughter in West Bengal’s hill town of Kalimpong. Her neighbour is a local school teacher, Naren Vyas (Jaideep Ahlawat). It is suggested in the trailer that Maya has committed a murder, and Naren helps her out (he probably is in love with her). On the case is a cop from Mumbai, Karan Anand (Vijay Varma), who goes long back with Naren. A cat-and-mouse chase ensues between Karan and Naren. But is Maya playing both of them?
