It was known that Kareena Kapoor is making her OTT debut with Jaane Jaan which will premiere on Netflix on September 21, for the occasion of Kareena's birthday. Today, director Sujoy Ghosh who is helming this film, shared a new poster for the film and revealed that the trailer for Jaane Jaan will be unveiled on September 5.
Netflix also shared the poster and wrote, "The thrill is just around the corner...and it's coming to you in 3 days! #JaaneJaan trailer. 3 days to go." The poster has Kareena Kapoor in an intense look. A young girl can also be seen standing behind her.
Jaane Jaan also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Sujay Ghosh, it is a crime thriller and based on the Japanese novel Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. Published in 2005, the novel is about the battle of wits between a math prodigy and his equally talented batch mate, who is probing the case of murder.
"From the day I read Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully, the audience will love it as much as we do," the filmmaker said in a statement.
Jaane Jaan is produced by 12th Street Entertainment and Northern Lights Films in association with Kross Pictures and Balaji Motion Pictures.
