Shah Rukh Khan showcased the trailer of Jawan at the iconic Burj Khalifa building in Dubai where he spoke about the universal appeal of cinema and how his fans will see him in a bald avatar for the first and the last time.
The actor, who has a massive fan following in the UAE, has been on a promotional spree ahead of the film's release on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Shah Rukh performed with a dance troupe on the song Zinda Banda from the film at the event, also attended by director Atlee and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
Yesterday, the trailer of Jawan was released amid much anticipation and excitement. Sharing the trailer on X (formerly Twitter), Shah Rukh wrote, “Of Justice & A Jawan. Of Women & their Vengeance. Of a Mother & A Son. And of course, a lot of Fun!!! Ready Ahhh!!! #JawanTrailer out now!”
Previously, three songs and a prevue had been released by the film’s makers. The songs are: ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya’, ‘Chaleya’ and ‘Zinda Banda’.
On August 30, the makers arranged a grand pre-release event at Sai Ram Engineering College in Chennai.
On pinpointing his Jawan experience and his collaboration with the Tami technicians, including Anirudh, Shah Rukh Khan said, " I've come to realise the immense talent of film technicians in Tamil cinema. Atlee wanted Anirudh to compose one song for the film. But I wanted him to do the entire album" to the audiences surprise, the romantic hero then added in Tamil, "Anirudh is my baby, en Paiyan."
Shah Rukh Khan also took the opportunity to praise his co-star Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the antagonist in Jawan, " I can't tell you how much I have learned from Vijay Sethupathi. More than my stardom, the learnings like this make my journey complete and exciting."
Speaking on his roots and the time before working with Shah Rukh Khan, director Atlee shared, "Shah Rukh Khan is more special to me than my father. I used to be one of the people who took photos outside his gate a decade ago. Working with a star like him feels surreal even now."
Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Priyamani in lead roles. Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, and Yogi Babu play prominent supporting roles in the upcoming film.
Featuring music direction by Anirudh Ravichander, the film has cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben. The film is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment.
