Earlier, we reported that Shriya Pilgaonkar has begun filming for the second season of The Broken News. The latest update is that actor Akshay Oberoi will also be joining the cast of the Zee5 series.

The series stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sonali Bendre in the lead. Shriya will reprise her role of feisty journalist Radha Bhargava in the second season of the series. The Broken News is created by Zee5 in collaboration with BBC Studios India. 

Meanwhile, Akshay Oberoi who was last seen in Gaslight, is currently filming for Fighter. He is set to appear as an air force pilot in the film which has Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Fighter is slated for release on January 25, 2024. The actor is also filming for another Hindi film titled Varchasva.
